Re: Non-snap version for linux
Awesome, that was the hint I needed. Mounting the stick on the host and adding: -v "/media/$USER/USB DISK/":"/media/kl/USB DISK/" \ Along with the existing docker mount options did the trick. I've now managed to activate my boost kit. (I'd previously also changed the dockerfile t...

Kaffelogic Studio 6.0.8 broken on MacOS Big Sur?
I located a Mac (running Big Sur 11.7.7) to install Kaffelogic Studio on so that I can activate my new boost kit, and appear to be thwarted. When I launch it I just get an error dialog that says "launch error. See the py2app for debugging launch issues". If I try launching from the termina...

Re: Non-snap version for linux
Actually, maybe the inability to see usb sticks is this general problem, https://kaffelogic.com/community/viewto ... ?f=6&t=447

Re: Non-snap version for linux
Legend, this looks very promising. I gave it a quick go and have two issues: I've got an older kaffelogic that uses a memory stick, and I can't work out how to make the app see the stick. I actually never directly used it with my stick even in older versions, I always manually copied firmware to the...

Non-snap version for linux
Many linux users (me included) do not like snap packages (in my case it is because snap doesn't let you have control over when/whether to update packages, as well as the fact that's it not fully open source). Do you have another option, such as Flatpak or (my preference) AppImage?

Re: The new chaff collector has arrived! It's fantastic!
Looking really great! Did they send any email when it was shipped, or did it just turn up on your door? I also ordered the same day that pre-orders opened (20 July last year!). The last email on the subject in early Feb said they will be shipping all kits February and March, and I haven't heard anyt...

Re: Fears of cracking the cooktop if the Kaffelogic slipped from my hands - solved!
I finally did this mod, and am very happy with it. For those interested, the particular handle is this one: https://www.bunnings.co.nz/sylvan-gatwick-cabinet-handle-large-chrome-plated_p0144707 (many of the handles are designed to fasten from the back rather than the top, this is one of the few that...

Linux build for 4.1.2 problem
Hi Chris, I just came to upgrade to the latest version of Kaffelogic Studio, using the provided dpkg. Unfortunately it doesn't start for me, I get: $ "/opt/kaffelogic-studio/Kaffelogic Studio" [8995] Error loading Python lib '/tmp/_MEIU1si12/libpython2.7.so.1.0': dlopen: /lib/x86_64-linux-...

Re: Dealing with "heat too fast" error
Thanks for this post explaining the preheat side of things. I bumped into this for the first time today when trying the default profile with some Indian "Monsoon Malabar" beans that I'm guessing must have quite a low moisture content, as they are very light (in weight and color). I dropped...
