Re: Is There a Decaf RTD Profile?

Same here, I only have one bag of regular beans open at a time, so only load the two profiles REST and RTD for their altitude for ease of changing the roaster. And always use that profile for the decaf as well.

Re: Science!? fresh roast and when to seal?

Hi, I've just looked at the Airscape design. It's got a one way valve, so isn't it just a fancier coffee bag? Hence what's the difference between you using it straight away, where the expelled gases will leave through the valve the same as for the bag? And more convenient for you. I put my beans str...

Re: bean trapped behind heat chamber ports

Hi Rob,

As the beans are brittle could you shatter it by poking it with something sharp? Whilst tipping the roster so the shards fall into the main chamber.

I've not had this issue. Usually it's a bean stuck firmly on the heat probe which needs delicate squeezing to shatter.

Cheers, Justine

The team generally recommend leaving the discolouring alone, and for us to view it as seasoning.

A quick search on past forums shows their replies.

Re: Stuck bean

Hi, I was told to get a pair of long nosed pliers and gently squeeze. It easily shatters. Nerve wracking each time it happens. I seemed to have one batch of coffee that regularly had a stuck bean, fortunately it's been months since it's happened. Sometimes you can very gently wiggle it off, but it s...

Re: Weekly Roasting Friday 22May 2020

Just roasted 120g Costa Rica, will brew as latte to try at session today

Created a latte with 1:2 grind to brewed coffee, then flooded it with 147g of milk!!

Quick sip, and it stands up to the milk well
