Re: Steve's Ultimate Profiles 100g - Constantly Declining Fan Profile (Fan Cal 0.91)

Thanks, yes I understand that, I guess what I was asking is if md3 was developed for 100 or 120g, so it will work with boost without any changes. Versus, if it was developed for 80g as some other profiles, the reference amount in the profile could be updated to indicate that and help with proper cal...

I am using the latest studio an the latest firmware with Boost activated. Will test with few profiles both 80 and 100g based.

Re: Raost

So essentially, the boost uses the ‘recommended load size’ as its reference point. It doesn’t have 120g hardcoded; it’s just that the default value for the recommended load size happens to be 120g. Am I understanding this correctly? Sorry, it’s straightforward yet confusing at the same time.

Re: Raost

With new firmware and software, you cans set reference load size on profile. May be set it to 80 for this profile? If not set it is default value is 120. My goto profile is nominally developed for 100g load with default setting and update profile profile seems to be more reliable resukt with boost....

Re: Steve's Ultimate Profiles 100g - Constantly Declining Fan Profile (Fan Cal 0.91)

Is MD3 profile compatible with a Boost kit? Do I need to make any adjustments to use it for larger amounts of beans (150-160g)

Re: Does batch size affect roast?

As long as you are between 100 and 120g you should observe consistent results. If you need the wider range you will need to get the Boost package which will increase that range to 50-200g. Realistically, you max will probably be 160g.
