Re: Boost Chaff Beans

Thanks for your awesome response. I'll begrudgingly probably try to craft a similar workaround. For me it just solidifies the premise that Kaffelogic should be providing a free solution, that would cost them $5, to everyone that bought the Boost so fine folks like you don't have to go around cuttin...

Re: Adjusting Cooling Fan Speed

Hi I’ve found the same thing. I’d like to know how to revert prior to activating the boost kit. To me the new chaff collector and boost kit weren’t tested properly. We shouldn’t have to mess around with cooling especially to try and stop beans flying out into the chaff collector. What is worrying is...

Re: Adjusting Cooling Fan Speed

I believe, and I am unsure if this has been mentioned in another post. Once you roast batches over 140 or 150g the minimum rpm on cool-down hi is 15,500rpms. I did question this variable when beta testing the chaff collector with the boost kit, and it seems that it needs to be set higher for the be...

Re: How does the KL adjust coffee weight?

Without the boost kit, the core profiles are set to roast 100-120g batches. You can adjust the profiles to suit lower batches but this is needed to be done by the user, so having an understanding of what you’re doing is required. If you have the boost kit however, you can adjust the profiles from 5...

Re: Adjusting Cooling Fan Speed

The settings that you need to change are cooldown_hi_speed and maybe cooldown_lo_speed cooldown_speeds.png Cooldown hi speed is the initial fan speed, and cooldown lo speed is the speed it switches to once temperature drops below 100 deg C. We have another user who said I changed the fan speeds to ...

Re: High pitch noise, sounds like it's about to explode!

This does not work, despite the promising announcement and the release notes of the software/firmware. In my case: the hi/lo cooling fan speed is programmed at 17.000 / 16.000, however the cooling speed is a constant 15.500... Disappointing, as well as the fact that KL is not reacting to this addre...

Re: High pitch noise, sounds like it's about to explode!

Hi everyone Has there been feedback from support on this noise, as I have just done 4 roasts with the new chaff collector/boost. I've got the same high pitch noise, and as live in a block of units is not tolerable by the neighbors. I'm a bit underwhelmed by the chaff collector and boost combination....

Hi

Hopefully I will understand a bit more with your eventual guide.

Re: High pitch noise, sounds like it's about to explode!

Hi

If you remove the chaff collector and no beans and turn on does it make the same sound?

Press the play and then the minus button to stop the test.
