Re: Q: what do I do with these?
Good questions on both counts Angela. I can only imagine that the specific beans you posted are not so commonly being used in NZ or Aussie? I'm a newbie so can't help, other than to, perhaps, suggest looking at Wayne's helpful page: https://kaffelogic.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=164 with ...

Re: D-Roast
Great work Damian and thank you for sharing. I see the Profile, D-Roast, defaults to RL 3.0 and you mention the range: Roast level 2.9 (Medium-Light) & 3.2 (medium). I've got two queries here: 1) Is this profile primarily suitable for light to medium roasts, seeking, say, to bring out more nuanc...

Re: Steve's Current Profiles
Fantastic Steve. Thank you. Just to clarify... My previous download of this DarkSide Profile had, on the Roast Profile Curve tab, the Recommended level at 5.4 237.4°C- Dark. The DarkSide profile attached here states RL 4.4 232.6°C Med Dark and other notes, elsewhere have RL 4.8. (Great notes within ...

Re: Brazil medium espresso roast
Gary - from what Angela was saying, the Santos seems to roast similar to the Cerrado?. Will you be trying a darker setting? And Is there another Profile and RL that you have found better for your espresso taste? I have only had one try of the BalanceV2 at RL4.2 and didn't have the grind set right. I...

Re: USB contented!
It will be good for others to chip in here too. For my part, I'm developing a Word template for recording roasts as they happen, then entering that data into a spreadsheet. I enter the date, bean origin and type, roast profile and RL, FC, incase I miss it on the device, etc I don't need to know whic...

Re: Brazil medium espresso roast
Today, tried Brazil Cerrado with Steve's Brazil.kpro on default RL 1.3 - Day 3. The roast came out Med Light City...Pleasantly surprised, given it is only day 3 and how light the roast. smooth berry flavours with fruity aftertaste. 100gm bean in 85.9gm out 16.4% weight loss. 18gm,27secs,37gm. log001...

Re: Bean Grinders
Dane, thanks for raising the topic. Gary, Ben and Ang, thanks for posting your observations here, too. They have helped push me over the line to order a Niche Zero. (White, AU, Indiegogo, August delivery date!) Because I'm roasting small batches, 200 - 300gm for about 4 - 5 days supply AND getting i...

Re: Colombia Melky Chevaz - What works for you?
Just a headsup Steve. First off, huge appreciation for your last post here. I have downloaded the profiles and keen to try the Balance V2 next. I've gone AWOL from the theme of this thread to have commercial roasted and work my way back to this. [I was losing the faith and just needed a standard goo...

Hmmmm, I get it Angela. Think Niche Zero. Comes in Black or White. I ordered White. Aesthetics.
Still, I'm really chuffed with the machine as is.

Thanks for these profiles Wayne. Could you elaborate what is meant by the 911 profile. Not up with the jargon, sorry.
