Really enjoyed reading this post. Great replies and interesting bean combinations. Any feedback on that fruitcake blend you tried out? I've got a few new beans to play with - Indian (monsoon Malabar), Brazil(natural) and Brazil (honey). Plus my staple cerrado, sigri and java. Time to play some more ...

Has anybody had any decent success with a profile for 900m Altitude washed Indonesia Java Robusta?

Mainly for espresso.

But I have a problem, after several times using this profile, now my Nano makes a whistling sound anytime I use the machine, with any roast profile. The whistle sounds more quite at higher fan speed. Is there anything I can do to repair it since I am not in NZ anymore? A good start is to ask questi...

Very insightful into understanding the roast profile a bit better, and the relation between probe temp and bean temp. What was good, was understanding how important the drying phase is in setting the foundation for the next phases.
