Re: High pitch noise, sounds like it's about to explode!
I contacted support and they were great. Looks like a motor issue so I'm sending it in for repairs.

Re: High pitch noise, sounds like it's about to explode!
I'm currently traveling and did not put the issue directly to KL for support. I'll have to do that when I get back in a couple of weeks. I did do a number of roasts after my initial post and the issue continues. Was hoping someone from KL would chime in here but I guess it's not regularly monitored....

Re: High pitch noise, sounds like it's about to explode!
I forgot to add when you put your ear to it the sound is much greater near the cable at the back not up by the glass chaff collector

Re: High pitch noise, sounds like it's about to explode!
Ok so I started a roast with no beans and there was a slight noise. I stopped it after a few seconds. I did a roast and it was clearly there from the start but got louder and louder until the cooling cycle when it does. No noise when just testing fan speed.

High pitch noise, sounds like it's about to explode!
Hi Guys, This is the sound I get throughout the roast now. It gets a lot better in the cool down cycle. I think it started a few roasts ago on Raost V5 but I've had it on other I think too. The log looks ok but I am obviously worried something will go soon and it could be dangerous. Any advice apart...

I've had the same thing. Infact the beans completely stop moving during cool down until I lift the glass chaff collector

Re: Raost
When I saw I could get some 90+ coffee with profiles to roast it I thought perfect. So I got some Kambera and love it and the raost profiles. Thanks so much for sharing. I use raost on all coffee now including some pretty expensive gesha from roastmasters and a daterra masterpiece. Raost and slow ra...

Re: LCD temp readings not correlating with log
Thanks Wayne for the detailed reply. Would you say the log is more useful in looking at what to adjust or the LCD. Judging by the reading on the LCD i am following the intended temperature early on so would keep the preheat as is. But on the log it's way over so i would reduce the preheat. This is u...

Re: LCD temp readings not correlating with log
So I checked it just now by photographing the LCD and comparing it to the log. LCD at 30 sec = 97.9 log = 109.5 LCD at 1min = 141, log = 145.3 LCD at 1min 130 = 157, log = 158.4 Gets better after this but as I am trying to change the power setting to fit the profile the changes dont seem to be havin...

LCD temp readings not correlating with log
Twice now i have followed the roast on the LCD screen and thought great. Its within 1 or 2 degree of the profile. I have the computer by its side and click on the profile every 30 seconds to track where it should be. When i uploaded the actual log there was a 4-7 degree difference to what i recorded...
