Re: First roast - Longer than 20 minutes
I have never used the k-logic classic profile so I can’t comment on the time it takes. But the steady & dark ii profile is one of my slowest profiles, taking around 15 mins per batch. I usually use this profile for my Brazilian beans, or my darker roasts. I would be starting at checking fan cali...

Re: Almost caught on fire, 3rd issue with this roaster.
Have you checked your fan calibration? Are the beans rolling correctly? KL admin have posted the link a few times in the community forum for this, and there is a video showing the rolling of the beans you’re aiming for. Another side note, are beans stuck in the fans prior to roasting? Or have mtiple...

Re: Adjusting Cooling Fan Speed
If you’re roasting with the boost kit 150g and above, I believe it’s set at default at 15500, and you cannot go lower than this as it was worked out that it needed this minimum rpm to keep the rolling of the beans during the cooldown phase. It should however scale down in lower load sizes, as it jus...

Re: Raost
So essentially, the boost uses the ‘recommended load size’ as its reference point. It doesn’t have 120g hardcoded; it’s just that the default value for the recommended load size happens to be 120g. Am I understanding this correctly? Sorry, it’s straightforward yet confusing at the same time. So pri...

Re: Colombia Excelso
When i had these beans i had some great success with the “Brazil” created profile. For some reason I don’t have the roast level written on my spreadsheet, but if I ever get these beans again, I will do some more further testing!
EDIT: Just seen i wrote it was best between level 2-4

Re: Steve's Ultimate Profiles 100g - Constantly Declining Fan Profile (Fan Cal 0.91)
Is MD3 profile compatible with a Boost kit? Do I need to make any adjustments to use it for larger amounts of beans (150-160g) It is very much compatible with boost. Every user created profile is compatible, as all of these profiles were designed on the base load of 100-120g, so as long as you add ...

Re: ATTN: Green bean sellers
The only way for green bean sellers to do this properly would be for them to own a KL and use it to design profiles. Green bean sellers can sometimes add altitudes and such for you to have a guide on what to go on, but you shouldn’t use what they list as a perfect one size fits all. You need to do y...

Re: Nucleus Link Thermal Runaway Issue
I believe, and I’m sure KL can correct me if I’m wrong, but the nucleus link and the kaffelogic unit are separate companies. I believe they worked together, but your issue lays with nucleus link, and not kaffelogic. Kaffelogic has their own support team, and their profiles and setup is completely di...

Re: connecting to KL Nano 7 Type C USB
Hi there, Do either of you know if you can update a KL Nano 7 USB A to a laptop? Bought the Nano 7 in 2020! Your question sounds a bit jumbled, are you asking if you can update the roaster from a laptop? The answer to this is yes. If your model is a USB version and not the usb-C model, then you wil...

Re: connecting to KL Nano 7 Type C USB
Hi, I'm a new owner of a KL Nano 7 with the type C USB port, but cannot seem to connect my laptop and KL Studio to the roaster. My MS Windows chimes when I plug in the cable but KL Studio does not seem to see the connection. Can anyone advise, am I missing a step? Thanks Steve Have you tried using ...
