Re: Will Nucleus Link Profiles Be Compatible?

Would have thought the under lying hardware would be exactly the same. The firmware - the bit that goes on the EEPROM - will be different. Question really to be asked is the EEPROM on both devices the same capacity? If so then programming one to behave as the other would be a breeze. Probably explai...

Re: Fedora snap help

We would love to. But there are many factors at play and competing priorities when managing a project like this. For now Python 2 delivers a stable and secure platform, something that we constantly monitor and assess. Really? You really believe that? This is the message that confronts me:- / home/k...

Re: Fedora snap help

I haven't used Kaffelogic studio in years simply because I've never been able to get it to run on Fedora. I see this issue was raised in September - I might ask why it still is current in the back-end of December? And I note you are still using python 2.7!! The World is on Python 3.12 - care to join...

Re: Studio Fails to Load on Fedora 34 Gnome on Wayland

And on Fedora 35 using Wayland the saga continues... ./'Kaffelogic Studio' GLib-GIO-Message: 13:41:10.257: Using the 'memory' GSettings backend. Re: Airflow meter

Well lets wrap this up then. The lack of further engagement in this thread probably signals the 'da management' do not want to wash their dirty linen in public. Air roasters are now ubiquitous. As far as I can see they all ignore the big issues of stable air flow and proper computation of the therma...

Re: Airflow meter

A quick look on Google Scholar shows someone has bean modelled before! https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 7412002063 but behind a paywall. Chris, you can walk in to Dunedin Uni library and ask for free online access!

Re: Airflow meter

PPS I'm on a roll today! If what I suggest is correct, we have the basis for a mathematical model of the system. Modelling the energy transfer to the bean would allow one to see the differing effects of air pressure and humidity on the roast process. Chris, you live in a university town; a message t...

Re: Airflow meter

Re-reading my comment it suddenly hit me that this statement is key -"There might not be much of it but it [ water vapour] certainly has more entropy than a comparable mass of dry air." The PID is totally unable to control the thermal transfer to the bean. All it can do is set up the air t...
