Looks very good. It looks like it is much more stable than mine. I only use the inner pipe made from an old tea tin.
Well done.

Re: Boost Chaff Beans
Hi Sorry to hear about your problem. I agree the boost is not tall enough for many bean varieties at higher charges, ie greater than 120gm. I resorted to cutting the bottom off a tin of green tea leaves that had the right diameter to fit over the base of the Nano, and the Boost chimney sits on top o...

Re: Cooldown duration
Ben, Thanks for the quick reply. I saw those settings but i thought they just adjusted the fan speed at the start of cooldown, and when to lower the speed until the end of cooldown based on the "cooldown lo temperature" setting. In this case that lowered the fan speed from 17,000rpm to 15,...

Cooldown duration
It seems all the profiles I have tried have a six minute cooldown. Is this something that can be changed? I could not see anything in the profiles details that would affect this. I was thinking of keeping the fan speed higher longer to cool the beans more quickly so that I could move on to the next ...

Re: Supply voltage may be too low - problem?
I would also not worry about it too much. The difference in available vs required is very small, ~3%. It likely won't affect the roast very much except at the start when it is likely to be applying the maximum power for that particular profile. Some profiles need more power than others but I have ne...

Re: Roast Level Glitching?
Hi all, I did my first roast with the new live tracking feature and this latest firmware (KN1007B-7.13.11.1883.rp2040 that I downloaded from the Google drive as per above post). It seemed to work fine for me. I did four 170gm roasts back to back. I got a fault (see error message in attached photo) a...

Re: Tips and Lessons Learned for Roasting on KL
Beantaco Thank you for posting your tips. They are all interesting to see put in one place like this. There is so much to learn about roasting! My preferred roast profile is more to the medium dark for espresso so I tend to longer, more developed roasts. I probably don't have the most discriminating...

Re: V2 chaff collector in dishwasher
While you can use the dishwasher, I find that if I do it after every batch of roasts (usually 4-6 roasts of 160 grams each) it is easy to just scrub it with hot water and a scrub brush. It only takes a couple of minutes is and I feel is a little better environmentally, but to each his own. I also sc...

Possibility of paying for Extended Warranty
Hi, I have had my Nano for just under a year now. The warranty will expire in a month or two and then I will be on the hook for any future problems. Fortunately the only problem I have had has occurred before the warranty expired. I was wanting to suggest to Kaffelogic that they investigate the poss...
