Re: Can someone help me with calibrating some settings?

Hey Lorrie, Sean here. With fluid bed roasting, fan speed is essential to achieving a good roast and avoiding a bunch of issues. If you have the boost kit, then using the Fan Preview tool (load your profile and then press menu, then start) will help you greatly. This gets the fan running with no hea...

Re: New core profiles - why?

Hi @beantacos, Sean here! The original core profiles released with the roaster were created at its invention. Its safe to say that they have been a favourite for many of our users, however there are many users that could not get a good starting point for the styles that they were after. Thos primari...

Re: Why do elevation based profiles have relatively sharp changes in T profile?

The profile designer selected that shape in order to control the level of CO2 in the roasted beans. Profiles have different shapes when designers have different priorities. Compared to a traditional roaster our system can adapt quite rapidly and thus allows for more experimentation in the roast curv...

Re: Firestarter

Hi All, We have some beta values for the PID control on the roaster with the older core profiles that can help reduce thermal runaway. For this you will need to open up Studio and plug your roaster/USB into your computer. These values will need to be changed on every profile that is experiencing the...

Re: Link Studio live roast tracking

Hi Wilfong, there is progress being made. It will be one of our larger focusses, we won't be giving too much away info-wise until we are closer to public release. We are doing our due diligence to make sure it is as bug free and seamless as possible coming to all KL units, new and old.

If you have done another empty chamber test after trying the earlier suggestions, then please contact support as your element likely needs changing.

Hi Avk,

Yes, live roasting will be making its way to the Kaffelogic. Likely later this year, but with no firm date set of yet.

Re: Download

Just check to see that you do get the green tick on the connect button at the top of your screen. If not then definitely try a new cable that you have at home, just make sure it is a cable that can transmit data.

Re: Early stages of bean movement with small batch sizes

Hey Jojo, This is normal, it is mainly because there aren't enough beans to lock together and push air up and through, lifting them into a tumble. This is normal for them to just spin for the first half of the roast. only thing to keep in might is watch your airflow, at the very bottom of the batch ...

Re: "Heat too slow Pls check beans" error

Something to try would be doing a reset of the roaster and trying an empty chamber test and then a roast. To reset the unit, first turn it off. Then hold down the Start (middle) button and turn it on whilst holding the Start button down until it reboots and says 'resetting'. Then on the displayed KL...
