I tend to avoid Firestarter for that reason; it goes nuclear at the end and runs away. I guess that's why it's called Firestarter

KL studio will display a message when your memory is full. I now routinely copy the log files off to secondary storage and delete them off the roaster before being told.
Your KL roaster will have a sync directory on your laptop and when you connect it syncs up the folder with your roaster.

Have you installed the KL Studio App on your Macbook? You should start the app (and connect with supplied cable) and then turn on the roaster. The app will sync with the roaster and you can look at the profiles and logs on it via the app. The roaster also needs the connection in order to grab the ti...

Hi there, I've lost the occasional roast usually because I've plugged in the USB cable or pulled it out during the roast (accidentally of course) and I find the file just vanishes. Additionally, I routinely backup the roasts in the synced folder to another location. Also the memory can get full, but...

I'm holding off buying the boost kit as I'm still relatively new to this roaster, but you would think that the glass top/chaff collector would sit atop the boost kit so that the whole thing was taller.

Have you tried any of the options under the 'Tools' menu in Studio? If there is no automatic popup with the Firmware update you can download the file and install it from the option under Connection Tools

Plug your roaster into your computer and start up Studio and your roaster. From memory it will then give you a pop up telling you there is a new version of firmware and provide the link to download and install
