Re: How does the KL adjust coffee weight?

Just an update: I am normally roasting 150g using the Boost. Before starting the roast I check the Fan Speed using the new software update. If the beans move well I proceed with the roast. On some ocassions like with large beans I have to increase the fan speed with "+". The display change...

Cleaning the bean chamber

How do I clean the Nano chamber? After a month of roasting (about 15 roasts) the chamber has a brown area on the bottom (see photo). I tried a damp paper towel but did not make a difference. I'm afraid of damaging the wire probe.

Re: Initial Temp Too High

I did an 110g Brazilian beans using the 0-900m Rest profile L3.0 and results were good. Development time was 25% and weight loss was 12%. Color looks fine. Will taste it in a couple of days. Roasting between 110 to 120g is a good advice.

Re: Initial Temp Too High

Ben, Thanks for the clarification. So I should try to roast 120g to get best results? If I roast 100g or 70g, without modifying the profiles I should expect to get darker roasts?

Re: Initial Temp Too High

I'm also in the US and so far most of my 100g roasts done at L3.0 to L3.5 have resulted in very dark beans... I guess I should also lower the preheat around 950 for most of the profiles?

Re: D-Roast

Has anyone used D-Roast with a 110-120V KL machine?

Re: Firestarter

Just tried this profile with 100g of Kenya Kiruga (from Sweet Maria's) at a L3.0 using a US KL roaster (110-120V). Color seems a little too dark for a medium roast. Roast lasted 9:03 min hot and 3:50 min cool. Will try it with my Decent Espresso machine in a couple of days.

User profiles in 110V machines?

Hello, I just received my KL nano, which is for 110V. I am wondering whether the user profiles developed for 220-230V machines will work for these machines?

How does the KL adjust coffee weight?

Hello all, just got my KL nano roaster and have done several roasts. I'm wondering how does it know whether there are 100 g or 70 g coffee beans? I suspect that it's all in the temp probe, adjusting the time of the roast? Also, I did roasts at 3.3, 3.0 and 2.5 using the K-logic classic profile and I...
