Firmware version 7.6.6.1429
After years of almost flawless use, I've just update my original unit to this firmware and am now getting "Fault detected" errors (wasting beans). 20220715_143813.jpg There is nothing in the log file(s), they just stop recording. I've removed the USB (SanDisk Cruzer Blade) and a new roast ...

Bigger
I love my Nano 7, it's great. I also understand the original reasoning for sizing the device for 100-120g of green beans . I would be interested however, in an alternate larger sized version of the device (perhaps ~500g) just to decrease the number of roasts I need to do when I go to fill my grinder...

Re: Cleaning...
Yeah, definitely. Once cleaned (as in above image - and it actually cleaned quite easily), I was able to continue roasting with no issues.

Re: Cleaning...
I would say the latter (sitting in collector against the oily mesh/metal tube). I think I've only ever seen lightly roasted chaff fall in, it just gets darker in the collector from the heat of the metal tube.

Re: Cleaning...
Hi Chris, There was only 1-2 cm of visible chaff in the collector (which is where the fire began) as was only on the 3rd roast after emptying. The beans were not affected, besides not completing the roast cycle so were thrown out. 20210131_075954.jpg Organic Brazil Steady & Dark @ 4.5 FW KN1007B...

Cleaning...
So, that whole section about cleaning on page 11 of the instruction manual I glanced over... I have one of the original Nano's since Feb 2019 and haven't really cleaned it besides just emptying the chaff and giving it a brush. Clearly 3 years of oil build up caught up with me during serveral ...

Re: Power
I always like to over do things  power.png There's an idea of the power flow (5 min intervals)....just ordered another UPS of same model: Capacity (VA/Watts): 2200VA / 1320W On Battery Output Voltage: Simulated Sine Wave at 230Vac +/- 5% On Battery Output Frequency: 50Hz / 60 Hz +/- 1% I al...

Re: Power
Thanks.
Victoria's power is pretty dodgy and I live in an older house, so power is not a nice stable flow...
I might see about purchasing another small UPS to plug the Nano into, see if I can get at least a reasonable level of power flow...
