Skewered bean

#2065

Post by Amberale »

Hi folks.
I just did roast of a Costa Rica VSH Miel bean using Ninja Turtle @3.8.
At the end of the roast I had a bean skewered on the end of the thermal probe.
Obviously I have no idea at what time during the roast this happened and I am interested to see what effect it has.
It seems a bit darker than I expected and weight reduced down to 81%
(I’m usually shooting for 83-84).
I’ll probably do a second roast shortly so I can compare them side by side in a couple of weeks.

Has this happened to other folks?
Who knows, I might have to start sticking one on at the start of a roast. ;)

Yes, it had happened few times,
just gentry take out or crash it with needle pliers.

I found nothing was wrong with resulted batch.
