The best option would be if there was someone in the Melbourne metro area that was willing to let me come and plug in via their cord and computer. But how to arrange that………….
Studio on Windows
Re: Studio on Windows
Thanks kaffelogic . I’m glad I asked for your advice and avoided creating further problems. My son has a Mac laptop so will try and catch up with him over the weekend to make certain that computer problems are eliminated as a possible cause. Rather than send the roaster back interstate (again) I will see if the retailer can send me down a new cord to try. Then I can either return my cord or send the whole lot back.

Re: Studio on Windows
I'm in Melbourne metro... but... (there's always one of those)...
I have the original PledgeMe model (early 2019 and still going strong) and have never looked at playing with Studio so far, so any issues would still be a stab in the dark as to cause (although I run Windows 11 on laptop). I have installed Studio on both Windows and OpenSUSE.

Re: Studio on Windows
Hi Rehtael,
Thanks for your reply. I assume your roaster uses a plug in USB stick, and does not use a cord for connection. And the cord needs to be tested to eliminate that as the problem. If I can use another cord and computer that are known to be functional, then it only leaves the roaster - and that will be disappointing although I’m expecting it. I’m now running Windows 10 on the desktop which should enable connection, but it’s a no go.

Re: Studio on Windows
I have all kinds of USB cables (as long as they're A or C ports - haven't looked at tech specs of new model yet, but would exxpect it to adhere to current universal standard of C).

I thank you for your kind offer of assistance which was much appreciated.
Happy coffee roasting/drinking,
