arm64 support for kaffelogic-studio

#3506

Post by kimuchibox4000 »

Hello! I've been wanting to run Kaffelogic Studio on my Arm platform device, but it seems it's not yet supported. Is there any plan/ETA for arm64 support?

Code: Select all

$ sudo snap install kaffelogic-studio
error: snap "kaffelogic-studio" is not available on stable for this architecture (arm64) but exists on other architectures (amd64).

I think this is the problem I ran into when trying to install on my Chromebook. I'd be dead keen to see support for this too.

Thank you for the reply, Squirt. @kaffelogic, wondering if you had a chance to take a look.

Sorry this isn't a planned development for us right now, but has been added to our backlog of desired improvements.

It seems to be working on my new Co-Pilot Surface 7 (arm cpu).

Maybe it isn't a native app, but it still functions, so I'm happy.

I suspect windows has a builtin x86 emulator for apps that aren't built for arm arch (apple has rosetta on mac to do that).

On linux you could try something like https://box86.org/
