new to roasting, all coffee tastes bad

Hi there,
As the subject outlines; I have just bought a Nano 7 and tried multiple roasts from the core profiles and yet none of them are drinkable.
To clarify, I brew with either pour over or clever dripper, aiming for medium to lighter roasts. I have tried both RTD and REST profiles at the correct altitude for various green beans and everything needs forever to "degas', even RTD, and still tastes horrible. Has anyone had this issue? Am I missing something or is my machine faulty?

In addition, on the Kaffelogic website it shows updated profiles including 'washed, natural and explorer', yet I don't have them on my machine after updating its firmware. Does anyone know how to access these as I wonder if they would be a better fit for what I am trying to get out of the coffee.

thanks in advance,

Ben

I never got good results using the standard profiles... but once I tried a few of the user profiles, things started to taste great! I use either the Ninja Turtle profile or D-Light most of the time (you can find these in other threads by searching). Any new profiles need to be synced to the roaster, as updating the firmware alone won't load new profiles, at least as far as I'm aware.
