Boost Kit

#3675

Post by Gapmedia »

Hi. I see there are now two size extensions in the Boost Kit. Is it possible to buy the new, taller one separately, as I only have the shorter one from the original Boost Kit? Obviously, the new taller one has been developed to stop beans going everywhere when emptying larger roasts.

Yes it is possible to purchases the tall boost ring separately. Most of the distributors will have this for sale.

Hi Geronimo,

I assume it is designed to keep the beans of a larger roast ‘under control’. If I roast any more than about 150-160gm of beans, some spill everywhere when you lift off the top of the roaster. I can see some people have their own solutions to this problem with homemade extensions for the boost ring. I myself don’t roast over 160gm, as that seems a manageable amount, depending on beans being roasted. Not a necessity to have, I was just interested to see if it is available separately.
