Coffee making courses

#3692

Post by Annefnds »

So I finally gave in and took a proper coffee making course after years of pretending my moka pot skills were enough. Let me just say — I wish I’d done it sooner.

I signed up for a 4-week barista intro (nothing fancy, just the basics) and I was shook at how much there is to learn. I used to think latte art was just Instagram fluff but now I catch myself microfoaming like it’s a spiritual ritual. The instructor said “don’t fight the milk” and I swear I’ve applied that to life since then.. :)

But here’s a thing I didn’t expect: the whole sensory experience. We cupped five origins in one class and I finally understood what “floral notes” actually mean. Like, I tasted the jasmine. Wild.

For anyone who's even a tiny bit obsessed with coffee (you know who you are), DO IT. Take a course. Your mornings will never be the same. Just beware… it’s a rabbit hole. I’m already eyeing home espresso machines I really can’t afford.

Anyone else taken a course? Did you go full coffee nerd like me or keep it casual? ;)
