Cupping Protocol for 15 April 2020 Cupping

Good day All

Thank you for taking part in the virtual café this am . Welcome to all the new faces .

For cupping - Please don't eat anything very spicy the night before and try not eat anything too spicy in the morning . have some water with you to clean your palate out.

The coffee to be used for the cupping session and will needed to be roasted next week Tuesday :
  • Ethiopian Yirgacheffe roasted coffee - Roasted with 2 profiles 100g
  • Clombian Exselso roasted coffee - Roasted with 2 profiles 100g
  • Kenyan AB roasted coffee - Roasted with 2 profiles100g
The cupping protocol for next weeks cupping will be attached

You will need the following for Next weeks cupping with pictures attached :

Cupping profile : 8g coffee / 150ml water / 1:18.75 Ratio
  • 8x plastic or glass vessels that can hold 150ml of boiling water . Please don't worry about handles. once water is placed in them . We will not move them . Picture attached
I BOUGHT MINE FROM NEW WORLD - PICTURES ATTACHED
  • 2x standard mugs for rinsing and spitting
  • Grinder with burrs cleaned and set to a plunger grind ( French press ) . We want consistent particle size
  • 2x soup spoons or teaspoons per person
  • Paper towel or an old BUT clean dish cloth
  • 1x scale
  • 1x kettle
  • Optional measuring jug with 150ml marker
  • 1x notebook to make tasting notes
