GOOD DAY ALL

I hope the week of roasting has delivered great results?

For tomorrow , we will be roasting a 911 profile for 1200-1500m above sea level.

The profile is not intended to be as aggressive as last weeks 1500-2000 Altitude profile in that it should carry its flavour for 3 days .

I would like us to roast this profile for tomorrows am session and brew / taste before the 11am session.

This way we can compare notes . Please also keep some to taste over the weekend . We can compare these results on Monday .

Additional to this , you will all find the Altitude 1500 - 2000 m Decaf profile for sugar process and swiss water .
Please feel free to roast with this profile . It is definitely providing some amazing tastes .

Enjoy and have fun .

Thanks for these profiles Wayne. Could you elaborate what is meant by the 911 profile. Not up with the jargon, sorry.

It's a roast that can be used in an emergency at short notice. The flavour of the beans are best on the day of roast and then last about 3 days before fading.
Useful for when people turn up unexpectedly and you're low on roasted beans, or if you're like me and don't plan well for day to day drinking!

Thanks for the question.

The 911 profiles have been created for that 911 occasion where you go to reach for more coffee to grind and extract or brew and there just isn’t any or not enough .

This specific altitude band focused profile is designed For you to roast and then grind , brew or extract .

It’s designed to pull the best out of the coffee and minimize the effect of CO2 . This way you have coffee for the drinking moment that will last the day , maybe a second .

Hope this helps - we will probably look at moving away from the term 911 . Could be a little severe and insensitive .

Just roasted 120g Costa Rica, will brew as latte to try at session today

Created a latte with 1:2 grind to brewed coffee, then flooded it with 147g of milk!!

Quick sip, and it stands up to the milk well
