We are preparing a release of a minor update to Kaffelogic Studio. Version 4.2.6 beta is now available for download from our beta site: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing.

This update features an improved method for displaying phase data at selected points on the roast log and profile curve.

There are a several other minor improvements and bug fixes:
  • improvement: display phase data in information labels when editing a roast profile or viewing logs
  • improvement: enhance Help menu with extra links to Documentation and Community
  • improvement: enhance 'missing roast levels' message to make it clear that expert level or above is needed
  • improvement: validate that times are in min:sec format (no longer accept plain seconds) before saving the profile
  • improvement: validate that zone ends come after zone starts before saving the profile
  • bugfix: allow short name to consist of digits only
  • bugfix: fix bug where open log, followed by open profile, followed by edit options, gave error. Same error happened if options changed in a different window followed by edit options.
Please start a topic in the Comments, Questions and Issues thread https://kaffelogic.com/community/viewforum.php?f=6 with feedback.

A bug in v4.2.6 has been fixed, so the beta release is now v4.2.7.

This bug prevented editing of the fan profile curve.

The latest Studio beta release is now 4.2.8.

This latest release uses profile schema number 1.7 to identify any profile that uses power profiling in zone 3. This means that anyone attempting to load the profile into older firmware will get an 'update required' message. This prevents someone from getting completely unexpected results from your profile.

That user will then need to update to firmware version 7.4.6.1105

Both Studio and firmware files are now available from the beta site https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing, and it is recommended that you perform both updates if you are planning to use power profiling in zone 3.

Thanks for your patience beta testers.
