This one turned out particularly good for my nonpaying customers - my wife and my coffee guzzling work bro.
Despite the drop temp, the beans were not oily at all and looked medium dark. I'm of the belief my Nano7 reads about 6*F higher than what I was seeing with my Larry Cotton wobble disk roaster due to all that hot arse air blowing by the thermocouple. Regardless, I'm not particularly hung up on the drop number and am more interested in how the beans look post roast.
Roast was pulled on a Spaziale Vivaldi II / Mythos grinder combo. The profile curve is like a mashup of Steve's MD2 and Firestarter. I wanted the even power delivery of Steve's profile but with a gentler drying phase that would be in the 40% range.
Hope it works for some of you as well.
