Kaffelogic Nano 7 total roasts
Curious how many roasts others have done with their Nano 7. I just hit 252 with no real issues yet. Close to supplementing my hobby with a Mill City roaster but I will still use the Nano 7 for doing sample roasts.

Re: Kaffelogic Nano 7 total roasts
Hi,
In the 16 months I have had the Nano I have done 202 successful roasts. I did have a problem at around roast #150 that required a warranty servicing by 8 Ounce Coffee in Calgary. That went well. Otherwise it has been great.
There has been a big learning curve, and still mostly use the unaltered roast profiles others have provided. I mostly like medium to medium dark roasts for espressos. I have settled on buying greens from a local roaster (from whom I previously bought their espresso blend roasts). I mostly use a combination of Brazil Natural and Brazil Pulped, and either Ethiopian, or another regions to blend together. I have lately been using the Steady and Dark and the Firestarter profiles. They seem quite reliable and most importantly repeatable.
I started with small, 100-120gm batches, then ramped up to 150, 180, and finally have settled on 200gm batches. I did add an extension chimney to raise the chaff collector about 7cm so that the roasted beans wouldn’t overflow when removing the collector at roast end.
I still vastly prefer my roasts to most of the local small roasters. Really enjoying the learning experience and the coffee!
Regards,
Ron
