Re: More zones ?

Hi Luca The 3rd zone works if you install the latest firmware update, as it includes a fix for that issue. I agree that more zones would be helpful. I have been playing with power profiles and am making do with 3 zones, but controlling the ‘take off’ around first crack would be easier with more zone...

Mark and Mr Bean, notwithstanding the overshoot, do you have any feedback on aroma/taste? I’ll be interested to hear how you find it.

Re: Natural vs washed high altitude

Hi, I have used the altitude profiles for both washed and natural Ethiopians. They both seem to do well on the applicable altitude profiles. I did have an Ethiopian natural that was only just over 2000m and I tried it on both the 1500-2000m profile and the 2000m+ profile and did a blind cupping. The...

Ahead of that, I want to get a sense of what your expectations of the different roast levels are. I'm looking at tryi...

Re: Steve's Current Profiles 100g MAX

Thanks for the update Steve. Coincidentally I tasted a Burundi coffee this morning (day 8 after roasting) that I roasted using your earlier filter profile in this thread and it was tasting a little grassy and underdeveloped. Interestingly I wasn’t tasting as much vegetal/grassiness when I had tasted...

Re: Filter-Origin Profile

Hi Kaelin Great work on this profile and thanks for sharing! I am a long time home roaster but new to the Kaffelogic. I have given your profile a go with four different beans now: Ethiopia, Honduras, Brazil, and Columbia. I found I don’t have enough power for the recent profiles that have been poste...
