Importing artisan CSV files

#210

Post by Angela »

In reddit.com/r/roasting someone asked for example Artisan files. Two were offered and the zip download from GitHub is here for anyone looking to experiment by importing into Kaffelogic Profil...(I'm losing the will to live - was that you, Chris, that thought up a seemingly ridiculously long and convoluted name for some some software? Branding again is it?) ;)

Obviously remove the unwanted high temperature start points and you have an almost instant profile curve to try. I tried the Ethiopia profile on some Yirgacheffe after pulling it about a bit (with difficulty) in KLPMS. If I remember correctly it was similar in quality to Ninja but was ready to drink later about 2 days later than the almost instant Ninja.

and my log from the converted Ethiopia Artisan file. The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe beans have a density of 673g/l. 123.3g in and 101.5 out. DTR ~20% at level 2.9

Thanks for sharing.
This curve reminds me more like firestater example. Interesting to know how it tasted.

nice work Angela

There are a couple of features in Studio 3.1.2 beta that you may or may not have discovered.

Smooth all is handy after you have moved the start point down to 20 deg and deleted the next few points.

Compare is an easy way to see the differences between two profile curves.

Studio 3.1.4 beta has now been posted on our beta page https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Voy1m ... o--Q-ud2cb. This contains a more sophisticated way of specifying temperature transformations, so that you are able to take a more fine grained approach to the different stages of the roast.
